Southern California Volleyball Association
The Southern California Volleyball Association (SCVA) is the organization that oversees the tournaments that all local club volleyball teams compete in. Check this website to find:
SCVA tournaments are usually held from 8 am to about 2 pm at locations throughout Los Angeles and Orange Counties (often Anaheim or Irvine). Occasionally some teams will be scheduled to compete in an afternoon pool, from about 2 pm - 9 pm. We find out when and where each team is playing about five days in advance, when the schedule is posted on the SCVA website. Your coaches will keep you updated, and you can also find that information on the SCVA website before your tournament.
USA Volleyball oversees indoor and beach adult and juniors high-performance volleyball programs, and develops players for international competition. The organization is also in charge of the annual Girls' Junior National Championships, the end-of-year tournament to crown the national champion in each age division. Teams must receive a bid to attend. Check this website for information about Junior Nationals.
