Sunshine is the #1 ranked girl's volleyball club in Southern California. Our beach volleyball camp, located at Will Rogers State Beach in Pacific Palisades, is an extension of our successful indoor program. Our dedicated, experienced and fun coaches work with girls -- and only girls -- to teach volleyball fundamentals to beginning players and advanced techniques to those with beach experience.
New to beach volleyball? Here's why you will love Sunshine's camp:
Groups are kept small.
We want every player to get individualized attention, so our expert coaches work with groups of just four to six players.
Everyone plays at Sunshine Beach Camp.
We teach beginning to expert players from age 8 to 16. Our small groups allow us to group players by age and ability, ensuring that everyone is receiving appropriate instruction. Beginners are taught the basics needed to have fun playing, and advanced players learn skills to help fine-tune their game.
Focused instruction helps serious players take their game to the next level.
Experienced players will learn ball control, how to read an opponent's movements, doubles strategy, serving, and more. Getting out of the gym and onto the beach is great training for your indoor game.
Did we mention, this is a beach camp just for girls?
The focus of Sunshine Volleyball Club is training girls to play volleyball. That's what we do all year long, and our methods of teaching and our drills are engaging, effective and fun for girls of all ages.
We're super flexible: Daily and weekly options are available.
Camp is in session Monday through Friday from 9 am - noon. Players can enroll by the week or by the day. The fee is $300 for the week or $70 each day.
New! Introducing Sunshine's Club Beach for elite high school players.
Sunshine also offers Club Beach, which is elite beach training for experienced high school-age players. This is a completely separate program with its own coaching staff.
11's - 14's Sunshine players must attend at least one week of beach camp.
Because we can't think of a better way for our club players to improve their indoor game! Playing on the beach has an impact on a player's all-around skills, understanding of the indoor game, and even her speed and athleticism on the court. Want to improve fast? Spend a week "doing it all" on the beach -- serving, passing, hitting, digging, blocking and playing the ball every other contact. It will definitely translate to your indoor experience.
Our camp director, Mr. Kelly, welcomes phone calls or emails concerning beach camp. Mr. K can be reached at email@example.com or (310) 717-3032.
